About Our Family

A Legacy Rooted in the Soil

The land behind HMH Wellness & Farm has remained in the family for more than 100 years. Its story is grounded in the work, care, faith, and determination of generations who understood the value of protecting land and passing it forward.

Born on October 3, 1902 in Emanuel County, Georgia, Harry Baldwin was raised in a hardworking farming family and helped continue the agricultural traditions passed down through generations. His parents, Charlie Baldwin and Mattie Cotton Baldwin, lived and worked in the Swainsboro and Stillmore communities during the early 1900s.

The Baldwin family worked the land, raised crops, and contributed to the local agricultural economy during a time when land ownership was a significant achievement for African American families in the rural South.

HMH Wellness & Farm was founded by Hunter Reed and Heidi B. Fuller. Together, they are preserving the family's land while creating new opportunities for wellness, education, recreation, and outdoor experiences.
